William Grant’s 12 Year old. It looks like a normal bottle of Scotch Whiskey and to anyone else it is just a dusty, 0.75 L bottle of average 12 year blended whiskey. Not even a single malt! However to me, it is much, much more. This bottle has travelled all over the world with me. It has more miles than most frequent fliers I’ve had it for almost 22 years and the time is close at hand to pop the top and put it to its intended use.
There was always a plan for this bottle of 12 year old Grant’s. The plan was put in place long ago and 9,000 miles away from where I sit today. It was a good plan and a good outcome. Tomorrow by this time, William Grant will be a bit lighter. It would have been easier not to cart this bottle around so long. It also would have been simpler just to buy a new one to celebrate the upcoming event. However, there are certain events in life that require special recognition and William is going to assist in the celebration of one of those events tomorrow.
