Simple beauty, difficult to surpass…..an Indian Carnation blossom. The Indian carnation is a tropical plant native to the tropics of southeastern Asia and India. As such, this plant can only be grown successfully outdoors in the tropical areas of the United States. No problem here in Houston. It grows and flowers like a weed!
Spring renewal. My Meyer lemon tree is a snowstorm of blossoms this time of year. The rich aroma of the flowers engulfs my entire backyard and portends a full crop of juicy Meyers in the fall. I will struggle to utilize all of this bounty, by I’ll try my best.
