2011 slid into the present with the sound of fireworks and revelers. New Year’s Day was quiet and restful. I’m catching up on some overdue tasks; oil change, bills to pay, and setting up a “Nook” for use with downloaded library books.
We finished up the day with a trip to Boondoggle’s, a local watering hole with a wood fired pizza oven.
The pub was not too crowded and there was no band, which was OK. It was quiet enough for some conversation.
