Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge has more than 400 species of birds, 95 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 130 species of butterflies and dragonflies.
Brazoria NWR website has additional information about wildlife, habitat and tips for planning a visit.
This photo collection was captured in the Brazoria NWR. However many of these species frequent the whole of the Upper Texas Coast. Many are observed during the spring and fall migrations. During these periods the birds pass through suburban settings. Then they can be observed from home or nearby green spaces.
