Albums of Bird Images by Year. Each album contains images that were taken during the calendar year. While 2021 is the first year in this series, I plan to continue the series again in 2022.
UPDATE: The end of 2021 has arrived. During this past year I managed to post images of 223 discreet species of birds without leaving the State of Texas. I actually imaged more, but the quality just wasn’t there so I didn’t add them to the gallery. A few were new to me and rare or new to the state. In particular, the first Limpkins in Texas are included in my image collection. A Sulphur bellied Flycatcher, Greater Pewee and Brown Boobys were unusual sightings. Additionally a very late Western Kingbird was imaged on Dec 07th.
Looking ahead to 2022, I will try and pick up some “low hanging fruit” I missed in 2021. Namely some additional ducks, geese, shorebirds and neotropical migrants I missed in the Spring migration in 2021. The first bird on my 2021 gallery was a White-tailed Kite. I’ll know shortly who makes #1 on the 2022 gallery.
In addition I have a trip planned to Alaska in August and that should allow me to pick up some life list species and add to my Bird Images by Year Project.
If you viewed the 2021 gallery, I trust you will find better images in 2022.
