With the end of 2022 in sight on this New Year’s Eve, a summary of the year’s images goes like this:
Summary: 276 images of 273 species and 3 sub species and/or hybrids. The vast majority of the images were captured in coastal Texas. The bulk of those in Harris and Galveston Counties and a small number from Matagorda County. In addition Brewster County, Sutton County added to the total. A trip to Alaska in August 2022 also added to the final total.
This page hosts a galley of Bird Images of 2022. Updates to this page will be posted frequently throughout the year.
My first entries to this year were added on January 02, 2022 to start the new series off. The 2021 list consisted of 224 species and I hope to better that this year. Better images and higher species counts.
Comments are always welcome.

These photos below are species that can occur during the month the photo was taken. If there are any unusual sightings during a particular month, I will single them out too. They are tagged with *
I have also posted additional images from previous years. These consist of posts about individual species. These are found at Birds I Have Known. In addition I have spotlighted the birds of the coastal marshes with an album series.
