Mid winter weather – Street Photo

Mid-winter weather arrived and southeast Texas was blessed with wonderful weather during the Christmas and New Year Holidays. Looking back I found another fine January day in 2006. All outdoor activities were on the table, including boating and a relaxed beer. Mid winter weather in Texas can be highly variable. It can range from cold, icy and windy to the fine day depicted in the subject of this post. It was a perfect sunny day, and I took the opportunity to get out and about with my camera. The boaters and beachgoers also took advantage of this January day. I believe this guy had it right. Sitting on your boat in the bay with a cold one. Soaking in the warm sun and watching the world go by. You can see this and other B&W Street Photos by visiting my Street Suite

I snapped this photo near Kemah, TX. This intrepid boater was drifting in the middle of Clear Lake. Clear Lake is a small Bay connected to Galveston bay. He seemed quite content to sip his beer and watch the other boats go by. It sure seems like the right thing to do on a day like today.
