I picked up a new camera this week and planned a trip to Brazoria NWR to run it through its paces. The lighting was dull, and the drought has all but eliminated the freshwater ponds that have attracted in past, so many birds. Still it was great to get out and I did manage to pry a few shots despite the poor conditions.
