Corpus Christi November Day – Visit to the USS Lexington

I was in Corpus Christi on a warm, beautiful, November day and I captured a few shots. Later a trip to the aircraft carrier USS Lexington was the subject of the day. It was a brilliant blue sky November, Texas day. On 15 June 1992, the ship was donated to the City of Corpus Christi to be displayed as a museum. The ship operates as the USS LEXINGTON Museum on the Bay. The Lexington moored at 2914 North Shoreline Blvd Corpus Christi, Texas. The USS Lexington commissioned in February 1943 and was a key factor in victory in the Pacific theater in WWII. Prior to decommissioning, the Lexington served a role as a training ship out of Pensacola, Corpus Christi and New Orleans. Furthermore the Lexington is a National Historic Landmark since 2003.
