Creosote Soap, handcrafted in Texas

A quick update on the outcome of the Creosote Soap.  It looks good, smells good, and is drying for a couple of weeks to harden up before use. I suspect it is a winner. I ended up with 15 ~ 4 oz. bars the color of milk chocolate. Native desert dwellers have utilized Creosote bush for millennia. Healing powers have been attributed to creosote. The yellow flowers of creosote bush can appear after a rain throughout the year, and the foliage gives off a powerful aromatic scent after a rain that is similar to the aroma of coal tar creosote, hence the common name creosote bush.  In the Lower Pecos, creosote bush is far more widespread on the western side of the Pecos River, but it does occur in isolated patches to the east.
