Texas Deer Hunt

A Texas deer hunt over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season is a tradition all over the Lone Star State. As a result thousands of hunters take to the hills, brush country and forests to try their luck. Furthermore it’s a time to teach the kids and fill the freezer with high quality free range protein. First venison is packed with protein vitamins and minerals. Additionally it is a free of antibiotics, synthetic hormones. A hunt is the satisfying result of a hunter’s time in the field. This year two Texas deer hunts, one with each of my girls, yielded a nice mature whitetail buck and a fat Rio Grande turkey. The weather was variable, sometimes hot and sometimes cold. However spending time with the girls is always a good thing.

Finally below is a photo of a skull mount several days after the hunt. Below this photo, some may find the material disturbing. If you object to hunting please don’t read on or bother with comments. Likewise if you are offended by the sight of a dead animal. I respect your opinions so allow me mine.
