A Galveston Bay Sunrise taken from Kemah, Texas. The fiery ball poked up from a windswept bay on a cold and blustery February morning. Very few boats had journeyed out in the bay this day. This sunrise morning produce an orange glow through a thin haze and cloud. To truly light up the sky a sunrise (or sunset) needs to have the right balance of cloud and sun at the right elevation and position. I was fortunate enough to capture a magnificent sunrise on a Gulf of Mexico and in can be seen (with video) at Gulf of Mexico Sunrise. It is very colorful in contrast to the sunrise in this post.
