Hawaii Beaches and Waterfalls

I dug up and old analog video of Hawaii Beaches and Waterfalls from the archives and pushed it digital. The quality isn’t great. However I think you’ll get the idea. The Big Island is a pretty magical place. So I need to get back there someday soon.

All of the islands of Hawaii have waterfalls, but the most accessible as some of the ones on the Big Island of Hawaii. Most of the waterfalls are along the northeastern coast of the island. Along the Hamakua and Hilo Coast. Also Hawaii even has a state park to showcase some of the most scenic areas on the island. Located north of Hilo, this park gives easy access to 100-foot Kahuna Falls and Akaka Falls which plummets 442-feet into a gorge below the viewing area.

The first video highlights Hilawe waterfall.  Furthermore at 1,450 feet, Hiilawe is one of the tallest in the Hawaiian Islands. Located at the head of Waipio Valley, this waterfall is located near the boyhood home of Kamehameha the Great.

In the second video one of the most scenic on the Big Island – is Akaka Falls. It is located in Akaka Falls State Park. Additionally the falls 442 foot plunge can be viewed lookout points along the state park’s loop trail.
